About the Website
Hey, webmaster cheddar-chaddar here! Here's a little background history on my website, from its conception to my executuion.
The Story Behind My Site
Cheddar's Music and Art Website was originally thought up in the summer of 2006, when I got a laptop and found the free anime sheet music website www.ichigos.com. Via Ichigo's website, I found discovered that the Japanese version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series had a different musical score than the 4K!dsTV version of the show. I was also able to get access to sheet music for Ashita Moshi Kimiga Kowaretemo (from the so-called season 0).
I was not satisfied with having only one sheet music for the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, so I went on a sheet music searching spree. There were only three books of sheet music form the series (two fake books associated with the 4K!ds score, and one Japanese piano solo album associated with the Japanese score of Duelist Kingdom) and I was still unsatisfied.
My unsatisfactionled me to do something drastic and transcribe my own sheet music. I first started with "Namida no Melodii" and my transcribing projects snowballed from there.
In December of 2006, the website began with www.freewebs.com as the original website server. However, dissatisfaction with the servers caused me to look elsewhere. I finally settled on www.freeservers.com for their free cost easy login service and easy website creation tools (I am still unhappy with the pop-ups, however. If anyone finds a good free website server, do let me know).
The website opened in March of 2007, originally as "Maatkare's Yu-Gi-Oh! Sheet Music Website".
Later, throughout the months, I began adding more to the website such as my fan fiction, doujinshi, and other sheet music.
The name changed to "Cheddar's Music and Art Website" a few months later,
and it is what you see today. :)
